Dr. Jeff in Fez, Morocco
Dr. Ederer began his journey in higher education as a first generation college student, becoming the first person in his family to graduate from college in 1984. He achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a secondary degree in Religion with an emphasis in Old Testament studies. Propelled by the life-changing experiences as an undergraduate, he continued on, earning a Master of Arts degree in Student Development, and ultimately a Doctor of Education degree in Higher Education Leadership. Since that time Dr. Ederer spent 32 years working at public and private institutions including the California State University, the University of Massachusetts, Huntington College, Wesleyan University, Azusa Pacific University, the University of Denver, and Johnson & Wales University.
Denise began her higher education experiences as an undergraduate student at The American University, in Washington DC. While in attendance she was extremely active with co-curricular activities such as student government, peer advising and campus activities as well as jobs in the Dean of Students office, student conduct and a highly demanding job as a Resident Assistant that her love for higher education began to take shape. As a double-major in International Studies and Environmental Policy, it was her out of class experiences that helped shape her future career. With subsequent jobs at Georgetown University, Western State Colorado University, and Vanderbilt University, Denise eventually went on to receive her Master’s Degree from The University of Denver where she majored in Higher Education Administration with a specialization in Admissions and Academic Counseling. Denise comes to the role of Independent Educational Consultant after 20 years in Higher Education, most recently as a Dean of Students.
